About Us

Doug Boleyn, President of Cascade Solar Consulting, has over 30 years of solar energy experience to bring to your project.Doug has been active in solar energy in Oregon since 1974 when he built his solar heated home in Gladstone . He was employed 22 years at PGE as solar/renewable energy consultant and also developed conservation marketing programs. As owner and Principal of Cascade Solar Consulting, LLC, he performs a range of renewable energy consulting, engineering, design, and project management focused on grid-tie photovoltaic and solar thermal (solar space and water heating) systems. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Solar Energy Association of Oregon, a member of the American Solar Energy Society, a member of the Home Builders Association of Metro Portland, and a registered Professional Engineer in Oregon . He also serves as a member of the Renewable Advisory Committee for the Energy Trust of Oregon.
