About Us

Since the 1970's, Emerita has been in the business of serving women by creating natural womens products that can improve the health and well being of todays active woman. Emerita began as a family business. Now a woman ran and owned company, Sharon MacFarland (the youngest daughter) started running the company in 1983 at the age of 23. Since that time, Sharon developed and built the company into Emerita: A leading national brand of natural womens products. We marketed natural menopause products through a catalog in our early days called Transitions For Health. This catalog was distributed in physicians offices, and even appeared in an episode of Sex & the City.
