About Us

Overeaters Anonymous is a fellowship of people who, through shared experience, strength and hope, are recovering from the disease of eating compulsively. The only requirement for membership is the desire to stop eating compulsively. OA is a 12-step group based on the twelve steps of Alcoholics Anonymous. We change only the words "alcohol" and "alcoholic" to "food" and "compulsive eating".
