About Us

TWIST began back in 1980 when Paul Schneider and Lauren Eulau opened their first store in Eugene, Oregon as an outlet for their own artwork. Working for many years in the arts, they found themselves part of a network of artists whose work wasn't available through galleries or stores. Their experience as artists also helped them recognize the elements that make an everyday object a meaningful piece of art. Over time, TWIST evolved into an outlet for this broader range of work.
